SHREWSBURY 6th FORM STUDENTS GAIN AWARDS FOR THEIR VOLUNTEER AND COMMUNITY WORK.
Tonight we attended an awards evening at Shrewsbury 6th Form. At the same time there was an open evening going on with many of our local businesess there helping and informing the students what they need to do to gain work. All of the Uni’s in attendance stated that the students need to become volunteers within the community so that they gain experience before attending Uni and or begin work.

The awards that I presented was for a number of diverse voluntary activities from working in a Red Cross Charity Outlet to working with the Countryside Unit building step into river banks to allow safe access to the water. All of the students who received awards relly did desrve this acknowledgement from both the college and Shroposhire Voluntary Service, who had joined the college in presenting these awards.
